Odisha youth arrested for killing Rameshwaram fisherwoman

Rameshwaram: Police are conducting further investigations into the Odisha youth arrested in the murder of a Rameshwaram fisherwoman. A 45-year-old fisherwoman from Vadakadu village in Rameswaram was raped and burnt to death on May 24 while going to collect algae in the sea. Rameswaram police have arrested seven people, including six Odisha youths, who were working at a private shrimp farm in the area where the incident took place.

In it, youths Ranjan Rana and Prakash from Odisha are said to have pleaded guilty. Earlier, the two were brought to the spot near the specific shrimp farm on Rameswaram North beach by the police with heavy security yesterday morning.
