Heavy rains kill 15 in southern China; 3 People Magic- Dinamani

Beijing: Heavy rains in southern China have killed at least 15 people and left three missing, according to local media.

A landslide in Fujian province near China’s east coast has killed at least eight people when two buildings collapsed.

Also, five people were killed and three were missing in Yunnan province, about 1,200 kilometers southwest of China.

Three children were swept away in floods on Friday in the Jincheng country in Guangxi province, killing two and leaving one alive, authorities said.

Roads, bridges, telecommunications and power poles were damaged by a storm in Yunnan’s Cube County, about 130 kilometers north of the Vietnamese border.

Also, Xinhua said five people were trapped inside a collapsed factory building in Fujian province on Friday, and three more were trapped in a collapsed residential building.

Heavy rain began Thursday evening in Wooping County, about 210 kilometers from the port city of Xiamen.

Reports from there say that crops have been damaged by the storm, power has been cut off and 39 houses in the county have been completely damaged and more than 1,600 people have been evacuated to safer places.
