The bathers were removed from the scene: a mortar was found on the beach in Rishon Lezion

Rescuers and inspectors from the Rishon Lezion Municipality Security Company located a mortar on the city’s beach this morning (Saturday). The bathers were evacuated and police sappers were called to the beach to neutralize the victim.

Large forces of security company inspectors are assisting police in isolating the area to enable safe activity of police saboteurs. The fall was discovered near Sukkah No. 5, as part of an initiated search by lifeguards and inspectors.

The bathers were removed within a radius of about 200 meters according to the saboteurs’ instructions. This is apparently a live fall, which was transferred to a safe area in order to carry out a controlled explosion.
