Katrina Tikhonova, the daughter of the Russian president, may be the leader of the United Russia party, a source claims. Vladimir Putin’s daughter may head the country’s main political party

Russian President Vladimir Putin is considering dropping his daughter into parliament as a new force as his health deteriorates, the Telegram reported on Putin’s entourage today. Katrina Tikhonova, 35, may be named the new leader of the United Russia party, the main political party that controls the country amid Moscow’s intrigue over the Kremlin’s legacy. This is reported by the Daily Mail. The unusual report comes from the General SVR telegram channel, which boasts alleged intelligence sources in Putin’s entourage.

The channel has long claimed that Putin suffers from serious illnesses including cancer, Parkinson’s disease and other disorders. The channel also reported that President Putin holds doubles, and used one of these during a visit to a Moscow hospital this week to meet war-wounded soldiers. “Putin’s inner circle has once again begun to talk about the need for a consensus for elites led by ‘United Russia’, which will unite and ensure the current status quo and the continuity of power,” the telegram channel wrote by former Russian general known as Viktor Mikhailovich.

The channel claims that if Putin suddenly loses the reins, the lead will fall first on Nikolai Petroshav, 70, secretary of the Russian Security Council, and not on technocratic Prime Minister Mikhail Mashustin, 56, who must take the reins of power under the constitution.

The channel also claims that the next president could also be the son of Petrushev, Dmitry, 44, currently the agriculture minister. “Understanding the limited circle of people who have access to the presidential ear, Katrina Tikhonova is the only person who can serve as a guarantor for the stability of the Putin regime, without being a direct heir,” it added.
