Controversy over the workings of some media outlets to fatten up politics in the name of film awards. Although no actors or activists have complained about the decision to announce the film award on Friday, some media outlets have not given up. The trick is to first report a movie being ignored and then protest, and then ask the cast and crew for a response. The motive of those who created the controversy became clear at the outset, with the response of the Youth Congress state president Shafi Parampil MLA and its politics.
The controversy is tantamount to insulting the jury headed by world-renowned film legend Syed Akhtar Mirza. The award process is not about deliberately postponing or rejecting any film. 2021 was the year when many great films were made, including ‘Home’. The jury members said that their goal was to find the best film among the best films. No one will say that selected movies or stars are not worthy.
Jury chairman Syed Mirza told the media that despite the competition in various categories, the home film did not reach the final stage in any category. Indrans, meanwhile, said he was not worried about not getting the award. It cannot be said that anyone was involved in the decision of the award. Indrans, however, said that it was doubtful whether they had seen the film when they saw that ‘home’ was not considered in any of the areas. The jury stated that they had seen the entire home movie. Indrans may have been misunderstood by someone. The government will not interfere in this matter, the minister said.
