Changes in the public transportation system during the flag march on the occasion of Jerusalem Day, Sunday, May 29, 2022, between 17:00 and 20:00

Between 17:00 and 21:00, changes will be made to the public transportation system, to allow pedestrians to move safely and passengers on public transportation to reach their destination.

The changes will be made in both the light rail service and the bus services:

Changes in the light rail service:

  • From 17:00, the train will travel on two split routes from the Air Force station to the Ammunition Hill station and from Mount Herzl to the central station.
  • It will not be possible to travel between Ammunition Hill Station and Central Station, in both directions.
  • At 21:00 the line will resume operating in its full format.

Changes in bus services:

  • From 17:00 the buses traveling on the march route will be diverted to alternate streets.
  • The buses will not travel on streets that will be blocked by the Israel Police, including: Bezalel, Ben Yehuda in the Horse Garden section, King George in the section between Jaffa Street and France Square, Agron, Yitzhak Karib, King Solomon, the paratroopers, IDF Square, the Paratroopers Tunnel, Sultan Suleiman, Jaffa Gate, Armenian Patriarchate, shelters.
  • The bus service will return to normal at the end of the march, at 20:30.

Reinforcement of bus lines at the end of the flag march:

  • From 20:30, bus lines will be strengthened in the Old City area to accommodate passengers after the march.

Parking in the Hannah and Mount Herzl and Ammunition Hill parking lots:

  • The Hana VeSa parking lots on Ammunition Hill and Mount Herzl will be open all night.
