Ahmedabad: Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler has set a new record in the IPL 2022. Butler is the highest-scoring overseas player in a season. Buttler scored 863 runs. In the final, Gujarat scored 39 runs against the Titans. Butler was still Rajasthan Royals’ top scorer. The orange cap is also on Butler’s head for the player with the most runs this season.
Butler surpassed then-Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner, who scored 848 in 2016. Kane Williamson of Hyderabad is third with 735 runs in 2018. Chris Gayle, who scored 733 runs, fell to fourth. Gayle made the run chase in 2012 while playing for RCB. Michael Hussey was fifth in 2013 with 733 runs. Hussey was the star of the Chennai Super Kings at the time.
