Some of the most popular snacks and treats for a long time on the shelves will be back soon, but another drink under the Coca-Cola umbrella is about to disappear forever. The company has just updated fans on its HONEST line, revealing that bottled tea will cease to be completely marketed by the end of 2022 after almost 25 years.

The drink comes in flavors like half tea and half lemonade, honey green tea, peach tea, pomegranate blue and more, but will soon be gradually removed and replaced on grocery store shelves by HONEST Kids. The juice box-style beverage brand grew rapidly, according to Coca-Cola, while the original option faced heavy sales and limited glass supply.

Older tea lovers are ready to drink, no need to worry about a shortage of breweries – the Gold Peak and Peace Tea brands will still remain part of the company along with HONEST Kids. Both Gold Peak and Peace Tea have seen an increase in sales during the Corona epidemic as they both appeal more to health-conscious shoppers and have perfect “multi-serving” packaging for home drinking. HONEST, on the other hand, is mostly sold in disposable bottles.

“The ongoing supply chain challenges mean that we have to prioritize the production and distribution of certain product numbers, and that we have not been able to meet consumer demand for the gold peak,” Sabrina Tandon, Group Manager, RTD Tea, Coca-Cola North America Operations said in a statement on the company’s website. “This, among other factors, helped motivate this very difficult decision.”
