In light of the violent documentation and racist chants of young people belonging to the La Familia organization during the flag parade, Prime Minister Bennett’s office is issuing an unusual announcement.

“The Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, recently instructed the security forces, with an emphasis on the Israel Police, to show zero tolerance for violence or provocations by extremists, including the La Familia organization, in Jerusalem.”

“The vast majority of participants came to celebrate, but unfortunately there is a minority who have come to set fire to the area, take advantage of the government’s strong stand against Hamas threats and try to force a fire. Therefore, any case of violence will be dealt with severely, including prosecution.”

According to videos that were released, dozens of members of “La Familia” marched on Hagai Street on the way to the Western Wall, and documented Arab attackers and everything that happened to them nearby. They also chanted racist chants against Arabs. Police used two stun grenades to take control of the incident.

Foreign Minister Yair Lapid also attacked: “Lahavah and her family are not Jerusalem Day.”

“The Lehavah and its entourage do not deserve to carry the Israeli flag. The Lehavah and its entourage are a disgrace that harms the joy of the people of Israel on Jerusalem Day.”
