Madurai-Theni special train service will be rescheduled without any reservation. Accordingly, Madurai-Theni-Madurai train travel time has become extra.
After 12 years, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the unreserved daily express train service from Madurai to Theni at a function held in Chennai on the 26th. Accordingly, the daily express passenger train service from Madurai to Theni started on the 27th. In the return direction, the passenger train will leave Vadapalanchi, Usilampatti, Andipatti at 12.30 pm and reach Theni at 09.35 am.
In the return direction, the train will leave Theni at 6.15 pm and reach Madurai at 07.35 pm. Madurai – Theni train schedule has been changed. The Madurai-Theni Special (06701) will leave Madurai at 08.05 am 25 minutes earlier instead of 08.30 am and reach Theni at 09.35 am as per the new schedule.
Train No.06702 Theni – Madurai Superfast Special will leave Theni at 06.15 pm and arrive at Madurai 15 minutes later at 07.50 pm instead of the usual 07.35 pm. As a result, Madurai-Theni and Madurai train travel time has increased. Madurai – Theni – Madurai trains will be rescheduled with effect from June 1.
