The UAE is strengthening its defense against monkey pox. The number of reported cases has risen to four, with three new cases reported in the past day. In this case, the Ministry of Health has issued a directive stating that those infected should remain in the hospital until they are completely cured, and that those in close contact should stay in their homes for 21 days in a quarantine.
The ministry said it has directed all health centers, including hospitals, to report suspicious cases and take precautionary measures to detect infections. Officials said they should rely only on official agencies to find out information about the disease and not spread rumors.
