Last week, Fox CEO and owner Harel Wiesel boarded a plane to New York City. Destination: The wedding of Ariela Boker and Jeffrey Schottenstein, the youngest son of Jewish billionaire Jay Schottenstein, chairman and CEO of American Eagle – which he imports Fox to Israel exclusively since February 2012.
At the wedding, Wiesel met Lakers and NBA star LeBron James – who said he has known the Schottenstein family since childhood in Cleveland (where the family comes from). James also wears items from the fashion brand TACKMA, which was founded by Schottenstein Jr. in 2011.
Wiesel and Schottenstein have been in partnership and long-standing friendships. It will be recalled that about a year ago, Schottenstein purchased shares of the sports and fashion company Retailors (from the Fox Group) upon its issuance, at a value then estimated at NIS 30-40 million. American Eagle is traded on the New York Stock Exchange at a value of $ 2.2 billion, and its revenues in 2021 totaled about $ 3.8 billion.

The huge project of Shamir Hospital
NIS 42 million – this is the volume of donations collected by the Friends of Shamir Hospital Association over the past year, three times more than in previous years. On the occasion of the achievement, an event was held at the home of Michal and Ohad Lebkowitz (partner in the Excalibur Foundation), members of the Friends Association.
The hospital, which was known until 2017 as Assaf Harofeh, is facing a project to establish a department for a new emergency physician (emergency room) and is growing operating and hospital rooms with an investment of about $ 300 million. As part of the move, the hospital’s activity will grow from 300 beds and 1,500 employees to 900 beds and 4,000 employees, with the goal of being among the largest hospitals in Israel (currently it is in the middle level plus).
