Honor has unveiled its new flagship device, the Honor 70

by time news

Just six months after the Honor 60 series, Honor has officially unveiled its new flagship phone series, the Honor 70, which is set to go on sale next week. The series this time contains three phones, a basic version, a Pro version and a Pro Plus version.

In many respects Honor kept details in the design lines as well as the configuration from last year’s versions, including even in the overall design of the photo arrays of the new phones, and also in the characterizations of the panels embedded in the new generation.

The Honor 70 Pro and Honor 70 Pro Plus phones are mostly identical in their features, although of course there are a number of differences. They are equipped with a 6.78-inch OLED screen from BOE that offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and both support LPTO technology. However the Pro version screen offers + FHD + QHD + resolution of its Plus friend. Both have a camera pinhole in the middle below which is a 50-megapixel camera.

At the back there is a photo array that is just huge in size and takes up about a third of the length of the device on its left side. The main camera is based on a 54-megapixel Sony IMX800 sensor, and the super-wide camera is based on a 50-megapixel sensor with a 122-degree wide field of view, and is also designed for macro photography. The third camera, and both, is a telephoto camera with an 8-megapixel sensor and support for optical zoom up to 3x, both optical and electronic stabilization.

Another significant difference between the two, beyond the resolution, is the processor: Dimensity 8000 and Dimensity 9100 respectively. Both also have a 4,600 mAh battery that charges at a maximum power of 100 watts. The operating system is Android 12 with the proprietary MagicUI 6.1 interface above it.

Honor 70 Pro will be sold in configurations of 8/256 GB of memory, 12/256 GB and 12/512 GB at prices of about 555, 600 and 660 respectively. Honor 70 Pro Plus will be sold in configurations of 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB at prices of about $ 645 and $ 690, respectively.

And what about the Honor 70?

The basic version of Honor 70

The basic device in the series will come with a 6.67-inch OLED screen that also in this case offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Unlike its two bigger brothers it is based on the Snapdragon 778G Plus 5G, and these are details that are almost identical to the previous generation device.

The upgrade is reflected in the camera setup which also consists of three cameras, with a main camera and a width camera on the same identity as those of the other two, but with a slight change of the second that is not used here as a macro camera. The third camera with only a 2 megapixel sensor is used to measure the depth of field.

It has a larger battery, with a capacity of 4,800 mAh and it supports charging with a power of 66 watts at most. Prices are about $ 405 for the 8/256 GB memory version, and about $ 510 for the 12/256 GB version.

For creators of villas

One of the things the company addressed is that the Pro versions of the phone come with a new feature they call Solo Cut Mode Vlog designed for freelance content creators who focus on creating blogs, video-based blogs, and the company said it’s a feature aimed primarily at young content creators.

The main point of this feature is the ability to shoot a video that focuses on the creator’s portrait and at the same time two HD quality videos that accompany it. Exactly how this will work is not yet clear.
