Three suspects have been arrested in the Talaimannar area with two kilos of gold worth about 4 crore rupees.
According to information received by the North Central Naval Headquarters, gold was seized along with three suspects in the waters off Talaimannar.
The customs spokesman said the suspects were from Pudukkottai and Pesalai areas.
The Kankesanthurai division of the Sri Lanka Customs is conducting further investigations into the incident.
