Animalists, regionalists, workers’ struggle… why small parties are betting on legislative elections

In some constituencies, the electoral panels are spread over long meters… In the 10th district of Paris, 18 candidates are vying for the sole seat of the Palais-Bourbon, a record for these legislative elections (the constituencies of French nationals living abroad are apart). In each of the 577 constituencies in France, there are an average of eleven candidates… Some know that they have no chance of winning but they can make a lot of gains for their political party.
