Madrid / Munich: European footballers Marcelo and Robert Lewandowski change tack.
The decision follows Marcelo, who has played for Real Madrid for 16 years, following his fifth Champions League victory with the club. But Marcelo said he would return to the club in another role in the future.
The 34-year-old captain, Marcelo, won the trophy for Real Madrid despite not playing in the Champions League final against Liverpool. This was Marcelo’s 25th title with the Spanish club. No other player in Real Madrid’s 120 – year history has achieved so much. Marcelo, who has been at Real Madrid for 16 years, has played more than 500 games for the club. Along with Marcelo, Spanish midfielder Isco has also confirmed his departure from the club.
Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has announced that he will leave German club Bayern Munich. Lewandowski said his good times in Bayern Munich were over and he could no longer go on there. He also won the XI FIFA Best Player award for his outstanding performances for Bayern last season.
Lewandowski arrived in Bayern in 2014 from Borussia Dortmund. Levan has played 253 games for the club in eight years, scoring 238 goals. He has won eight Bundesliga titles with Bayern, as well as the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.
