A Neapolitan exhibition in the new Milanese homegallery

There is a bit of Naples in Milan with the Retr Magie exhibition that brings art into the intimate space of an apartment with a retro taste, with hyper-contemporary installations. In conjunction with the days of Supersalone 2021 in Milan, a new exhibition space opens in Via Giovanni Battista Pergolesi 2, in a building from the early 1900s. Homegallery, showroom for artists and designers, residence for short periods. The exhibition curated by Valentina Rippa and Libia Cuomo brings together more creative realities, all already consolidated in international contexts for an immersive exhibition, inspired by magic, propitiatory art, mythology.
La Casaforte SB, Holy Caftan, Fornace Ceramics, Absolute Aromatics and StudioDimoreFirenze together with their artifacts that are inspired by traditions and the past such as the precious fabrics for the Holy Caftan house entirely embroidered by hand, the ceramics of Fornace Ceramics, the installations bright by La Casaforte SB, the olfactory installation by Absolute Aromatics and the charm of yesteryear of StudioDimoreFirenze atmospheres.
FornaceCeramics lab was born in 2018 as an artisan ceramic brand. Born in Paris, he presents his first creations in Maison and Objects Paris, grows joyfully in Lisbon where by invitation he participates in the Feita fair and then blossoms in Milan creating the dedicated pieces for all the shops of the Maison Valentino. In 2020 Fornace reached adulthood as a handmade European brand of ceramics and home accessories. It produces and bakes with love in the laboratories of Milan and Venice.
Casaforte SB – participatory art and independent thought, was born in 2011 from the recovery of the sixteenth-century cloister of the Trinit degli Spagnoli convent in Naples. the laboratory house of Valeria Borrelli (visual artist, filmmaker and designer), Antonio Sacco (architect, photographer and performer) and their children, an open work that intertwines relationships, artistic languages, citizenship practices and solidarity design. The luminaria Falloforia simulacrum of the phallus, symbol of fecundity and prosperity, was born from the idea of updating the ancient Greek fallagogy, a festival dedicated to Dionysus, a symbol to celebrate the fertility of nature in a broad sense as well as a good luck talisman. Designed simply, like a graffiti on a wall, the luminaria made by hand in collaboration with a Campania craftsman using the centenary techniques for the illumination of typical southern Italian street parties, evokes the village festival as a moment of communion between men and prosperity and joy.
Holy Caftan The reference to the sacred and spirituality expresses the stylistic code of the Holy Caftan product; an Italian brand of garments entirely handmade in Italy. The minimal lines of the garments are inspired by religious clothes, with a couture touch. The fabrics are the most varied, from cotton batiste to linen and silk organza. The embroideries rework the suggestive iconographic symbols of harmony and abundance. The quality of the product guaranteed by the traditions of Neapolitan haute couture and the Sorrento art of embroidery. The project, born in 2013, is closely linked to the history and skills of the Campania region, and inspired by research on its cassock and nuptial kits, both in the most sumptuous expressions of sacred embroidery and in the humblest ones of folk embroidery. Holy Caftan re-proposes the simple and rigorous elegance of this tradition, reinterpreting in respectful freedom, in particular, the monochromatism of seventeenth-century Italian and Spanish embroidery. The primordial cut of the caftan is the background. In 2021 the Holy Table capsule is created, dedicated to the art of the table for lovers of detail, fine fabrics and for all those nostalgic for etiquette and good taste.
Absolu Aromatics a line of aromatic woods and fragrances for the environment selected from the best Oud, and other precious essences, from Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Can be used with any room diffuser but above all with those designed by Absolu Aromatics to allow each substance to release its aroma at the right temperature. It is a line of perfumes in oil and a series of accessories and perfume holder jewelry. in precious woods and cufflinks carries perfume to be worn in the cuff or collar.
