High-Speed Pursuit Through Golden Isles Parkway Ends in Three-Car Crash
When the officer attempted a traffic stop, the driver sped away. The chase stretched through the Golden Isles Parkway area, with the stolen vehicle traveling at high speeds and driving recklessly before crashing into three separate vehicles at the intersection of Golden Isles Parkway and Canal Road, police said. Following the multi-car collision, the two occupants in the car ran off but were quickly taken into custody.
Teenage Suspects Face Multiple Felony Charges in Georgia
Authorities identified both occupants as juvenile offenders. Because of their ages, police have not identified the teens.
The driver, identified as a juvenile offender, was charged with theft by receiving stolen property, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, hit and run, obstruction, failure to obey a traffic control device, and driving without a valid license. The passenger, also identified as a juvenile offender, was charged with obstruction.
Both juveniles were taken to a local hospital to be checked out before they were turned over to the juvenile justice system. The driver was later taken to the Regional Youth Detention Center, while the Georgia State Patrol is investigating the traffic crash, which damaged three other vehicles. GCPD wrote that this investigation remains active, and additional charges may be forthcoming. Midnight Chase in Peñalolén Culminates in an Irrigation Canal
Weeks later in South America, a stolen Hyundai Veloster triggered a dangerous nocturnal pursuit in Santiago, Chile. Arrests Made and Owners Notified as Investigations Continue
El seguimiento terminó en Los Cerezos con avenida Quilín, donde el chofer del Veloster perdió el control y cayó a un canal de regadío. Esto provocó que el auto quedara con su parte frontal dañada y los airbags activados. Sus ocupantes, de 34 y 22 años, fueron detenidos.
