At the center of the lawsuit is the investigative report they conducted on the pipeline around the activities of the Yaadim company, which markets agricultural land throughout the country. However, according to Golan, the “pipe” system chose to frame the article as “Eyal Golan’s land investigation” while claiming “stinging” customers.

According to the lawsuit filed by Golan in the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court, through attorney Dror Arad-Elon of the Barnea, Jaffa Landa & Co. law firm, it was alleged that the publications against Golan were false and that Golan and the company he owned were not involved in the marketing process. So that the company marketing the lands will act while taking due disclosure towards the purchasers as actually done. It was further alleged that on Channel 13, the lawsuit ignored all of Golan and his people’s attempts to present them with the full factual picture, which left Golan with no choice but to file the defamation lawsuit.

The statement of claim states that for reasons of rating, Channel 13 and the pipeline system linked the allegations regarding the marketing of the land to Eyal Golan personally. “While it is clear that the person who marketed the land is another company.
