Medical personnel rushed to the scene as practice was halted for 10 minutes while New York’s medical staff attended to the player. Stiggers received an intravenous line on the field before being placed on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance.

“Stiggers, from what I know, he came to the sideline after a play and he actually fell. The good thing is, he was conscious, and our guys did a hell of a job, just like most medical staffs around this league do in situations like that, and they took the necessary steps just to make sure we do everything we can to be on board when it comes to those situations. He was able to talk. I want to make sure I go and see him after this, just so I’m sure I’m good with everything, but for the most part he was good.”

Buccaneers right tackle Luke Goedeke later claimed the skirmish was ignited by a cheap shot from Jets edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare, while other positional battles and verbal sparring kept tempers frayed before the practice was temporarily grounded by the medical scare.
Stiggers’ Improbable Football Journey
Stiggers enters his third NFL season following an unconventional rise through professional football. He never played college football, instead spending time in the Fan Controlled Football league before joining the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.
After being recognized as the CFL’s Most Outstanding Rookie in 2023, the Jets selected him in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. That selection made him the first player drafted directly from the CFL since 1999.
