Speaking to reporters at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri, according to WRAL, Kelce called the summer nuptials the best night of my life.

The 36-year-old athlete described the offseason event as a “crazy night” filled with celebration, adding, I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us.
With training camp underway, Kelce noted that his focus has shifted back to football as he enters his 14th NFL season. The Chiefs tight end has his first game of the season against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.
Inside the Madison Square Garden Nuptials
Kelce and Swift tied the knot on July 3 in a private ceremony inside Madison Square Garden in New York City. The venue holds special significance for Kelce, who noted that getting married there allowed him to fulfill a childhood dream. He thanked MSG owner James Dolan for accommodating their request for a private event.

The couple’s wedding combined elements of high fashion, elaborate décor, and celebrity participation. Taylor Swift walked down the aisle to her 2008 hit song “Love Story,” and both the bride and groom wore Christian Dior Haute Couture. Swift enlisted her brother, Austin Swift, as her “Man of Honor,” while Travis chose his brother, Jason Kelce, as his “Best Man.”
The ceremony featured a 20-minute exchange of vows inside a venue that Page Six reported was transformed into a forest featuring trees, grass-like carpeting, and dark green and pink decor. According to reports from TMZ cited in coverage, the newlyweds spent $60,000 on a city permit for the wedding day, and law enforcement sources noted that 7th Avenue outside the arena was shut down for the event.

The relationship between Kelce and Swift began in the summer of 2023 after Kelce unsuccessfully attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet during her Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium. After Kelce discussed the encounter on his podcast, Swift attended a Chiefs game at Arrowhead, sparking a high-profile courtship.
Following an engagement in August 2025, the couple planned their wedding while maintaining privacy before the July ceremony.
