Kinetic Publishing and developer Electric Saint announced that Crescent County will launch in Summer 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The cozy-with-bite title combines courier deliveries on futuristic motorbrooms with open-world exploration and street racing on the magical Isle of Mor.
Video game publishing newcomer Kinetic Publishing revealed the launch window during its first showcase event, partnering with UK-based studio Electric Saint to bring the vibrant open-world title to a broad console and PC lineup. The upcoming release targets a Summer 2027 debut across Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Motorbroom Delivery, Street Racing, and Witch-Tech
Set on the crescent-shaped, magical Isle of Mor, Crescent County casts players as a chaotic young adult named Lu. The protagonist navigates the universal growing pains of relocating by day-couriering parcels on a sci-fi inspired motorbroom and racing through the streets by night. The developer describes the title as a heartfelt exploration of being messy in your 20s, mixing sheep herding and leyline repair with local gossip and drama.
Creative director Anna Hollinrake drew inspiration for the project from moving to the Isle of Wight during her first big studio job. Aesthetic influences span sunset-soaked coming-of-age narratives like Night in the Woods and Life is Strange, alongside roller derby subculture and indie games such as Sable, Dredge, and OlliOlli World. The team characterizes the overall vibe as Kiki’s Delivery Service meeting the motorcycle culture of Akira within a rural witch-tech setting.
Kickstarter Origins and Studio Evolution
The project’s journey to a major multi-platform release began with grass-roots backing. Crescent County successfully raised £94,458 via a Kickstarter campaign in 2025. It has been cultivated as a passion project since 2017.

The title now finds a home under Kinetic Publishing, the indie label launched in 2026 by Kinetic Games—the developer behind the multi-million-selling horror phenomenon Phasmophobia. Kinetic Publishing aims to support developers in maintaining creative freedom. Alongside Crescent County, the label’s upcoming 2027 and 2028 lineup includes Contact Protocol, PRECOGNITION by creators Sam Barlow and Brandon Cronenberg, Shellbound, and Aether Wizard Life.
Gameplay Mechanics and Open-World Features
Electric Saint designed the core mechanics to prioritize relaxation and social connection over high-pressure competition. The motorbroom driving mechanics focus on fluid, responsive handling rather than leaderboards or time trials.
