Beverly Hills Steak 48 Brawl: Women Detail Dispute Over Man's Lap

A birthday celebration at Steak 48 in Beverly Hills, California, escalated into a physical altercation on August 13, 2026, according to reports. The incident, which took place at the high-end steakhouse located in the 9600 block of Wilshire Boulevard, was captured on video and subsequently viewed millions of times across social media platforms.

The Origin of the Dispute

Two women involved in the altercation recently provided an account of the events leading up to the fight. They stated that the evening began when one of them struck up a conversation with men at a nearby table who were speaking Arabic. According to the women, one of the men later offered to pay for their bill.

The women claimed that another woman approached the table while the man was making the offer and sat on his lap. When the group of men prepared to depart, one requested that the women ask the individual on his friend’s lap to move. The women reported that after they passed along this request, they were met with a physical response, alleging that the other woman approached them from behind, pulling their hair and swinging. The women stated that they returned punches, claiming the other participant was “socked” several times.

Escalation in the Dining Room

The confrontation spilled across the restaurant floor as diners watched and employees attempted to intervene. Footage shows the two women trading punches, kicks, and hair pulls while rolling across the dining room. At one stage of the fight, the woman in a brown dress fell to the floor while the woman in a blue top leaned over her. During the struggle, items on nearby tables were knocked over.

Restaurant staff members attempted to separate the individuals, with one employee heard telling one of the women, who appeared to be bleeding from her head, to “go out now.” The woman reportedly shoved the employee and slapped away her hand as she attempted to usher her out of the premises. Later in the video, the woman in the brown dress is seen standing on a yellow booth and throwing an object at the woman in the blue top.

Aftermath and Restaurant Response

While the brawl occurred, background music continued to play in the restaurant, which is known for a menu featuring $82 filet mignon and $295 wagyu tomahawk steaks. Witnesses reported that one of the women involved refused to comply when asked to leave the premises.

Other sources noted that it remains unclear if criminal charges were filed or if the individuals were officially banned from the restaurant. The women who provided their account of the event stated that they wish the other fighter the best, though they do not expect to dine with her in the future. Steak 48, which markets itself as a provider of an elevated atmosphere, has not provided further public comment on the disruption.
