The Polaroid x Pokémon lineup features three distinct camera models. The Polaroid Now Generation 3 Poké Ball camera, priced at $139.99 (139.99 EUR, 129.99 GBP), is styled in the classic red, white, and black of a Poké Ball. It captures instant photos on larger i-Type and 600 film, with an image area of 3.1 x 3.1 inches. Two other models, the Polaroid Go Generation 3 Pikachu and Sylveon editions, cost $99.99 (99.99 EUR, 89.99 GBP) each. These smaller cameras use Polaroid’s Go film, which produces 1.9 x 1.8-inch images.

Polaroid and Pokémon Team Up for Polaroid's Biggest Collab

The Pikachu-themed camera is colored in electric yellow, with a lightning-bolt-shaped hand strap, while the Sylveon version features pink, white, and blue accents. Both models retain the standard functionality of their base cameras, including a 64mm polycarbonate lens with dual f/14.4 and f/32 apertures, a Xenon flash, and a Poké Ball-shaped shutter button. The Poké Ball camera also includes a special edition case, photo album, and strap.

Beyond cameras, the collaboration includes limited-edition film packs and accessories. Polaroid’s i-Type film features Pokémon-themed dark slides with silhouettes of characters like Snorlax, Gengar, and Charmander, each paired with color-matched borders. For example, Snorlax appears on a light blue border, while Gengar is featured on a dark purple one. Smaller Go-format film packs are available for Pikachu and Sylveon.

Accessories include a Poké Ball-shaped camera case, photo album, and strap. The strap is compatible with both Go and Now Generation 3 cameras. Prices for accessories range from $14.99 for the strap to $24.99 for the case and album. The film packs are priced at $22.99 for i-Type and $24.99 for Go-format double packs.

Mathieu Galante, Sr. Director, Licensing, The Pokémon Company International, emphasized the alignment between the brands. “Pokémon has always been about discovery, connection, and exploration. Working with Polaroid feels like a natural extension of these values: encouraging fans to capture moments that matter most to them in their own way and turn their favorite memories into tangible keepsakes,” he said in a statement.

Gotta snap 'em all

The collaboration reflects a broader trend of retro-tech revival, with Gen Z embracing analog photography. Polaroid’s partnership with Pokémon aims to merge nostalgia with modern collectibility, offering fans a unique way to document their experiences.
