Jeezan: The Sevens football tournament organized by Indian Heroes, an expatriate Malayalee club in Jeezan, will start on Thursday night. Eight teams from each region will compete in the tournament, which will be held at the Jeezan Mabuj Stadium.
Indian Heroes, Town team Abu Arish, FC Derb, FC Sabia, FC Labia, Umm Majeed Jeezan, Al Jazeera Khamis and R Ryan Damad are participating in the event. The semi-finals and final will be played on June 10.
The winners are sponsored by Isafco, Mandi Jazeera Rijal Alma, Umm Majeed Plastic and Al Arabi Burger. Club President Shamsu Pookottur told a news conference that the tournament was organized to raise funds for the Jeezan Indian Heroes Charity.
