DLSS 4 and path tracing are no longer cutting-edge graphical experiments — they’re the foundation of modern PC gaming titles,
said Matt Wuebbling, vice president of global GeForce marketing at NVIDIA, as the company detailed a major wave of developer updates at Gamescom 2026. The announcements span DLSS 4.5, path tracing, native anti-cheat integration, and expanded publisher backing for upcoming hardware platforms.
DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction and Major Game Integrations
DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction is now accessible via the Nvidia app for all GeForce RTX GPUs. The technology operates on a second-generation transformer model designed to unify denoising and Super Resolution into a single model, improving image fidelity in ray- and path-traced games. At launch, the feature supports 30 titles, including Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Developers can also integrate the update into their own projects through official software patches.
Remedy’s Control Resonant arrives equipped with the complete DLSS 4.5 suite, featuring Ray Reconstruction alongside Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and path-traced effects that build upon the original game’s ray-tracing architecture. Meanwhile, IO Interactive’s 007 First Light is slated to incorporate path tracing and Ray Reconstruction on September 15. Additional titles gaining DLSS 4.5 or ray-tracing support include Aion 2, Black State, and Ananta.
The rollout follows recent debate surrounding DLSS versions unveiled earlier in the week, where critics questioned AI rendering approaches on character models. Addressing the feedback, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated that critics were entirely wrong, explaining that the technology fuses geometry and texture control with generative AI while maintaining direct developer oversight.
RTX Spark and Native Anti-Cheat Support
Nvidia confirmed new publisher commitments for RTX Spark, an upcoming Windows platform combining DLSS and Reflex with on-device AI agents scheduled to launch this fall. Electronic Arts, Embark Studios, and Ubisoft are bringing key software to the system, including EA Sports F1 25, Apex Legends, and Arc Raiders. These publishers join Krafton, NetEase, Riot Games, and Xbox, which originally committed during Computex in May.

To support competitive multiplayer on the platform, Nvidia confirmed it collaborated with EA to bring native integration for the Javelin anti-cheat system directly to RTX Spark, covering major multiplayer titles like F1 25. According to technosports.co.in, embedding native anti-cheat support removes a key friction point for running competitive multiplayer games smoothly on the new architecture.
RTX Mega Geometry and Modding Platform Expansions
Microsoft’s Gears of War: E-Day, scheduled for release on October 6, will introduce RTX Mega Geometry. This technique allows Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite geometry system to render at full detail within ray tracing for the first time. Developed through six years of research and development, the rendering method will be incorporated into Microsoft’s DirectX Raytracing 2.0 standard to extend ray-traced Nanite support across any compatible Unreal Engine 5 title.

Nvidia’s path-tracing modding toolkit, RTX Remix, also received updates by adding support for DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction and Multi Frame Generation. The modding ecosystem expansion includes a Painkiller RTX update that remasters the game’s initial 15 levels, alongside a newly revealed Morrowind RTX mod focused on the Seyda Neen and Balmora regions.
