Beijing: A magnitude 6.1 earthquake shook the city of Yuan in China’s Sichuan province. Preliminary reports say 4 died. 14 people were injured. The quake struck at around 5 pm local time yesterday. Rescue work is continuing. There were also reports of further tremors of 4.5 intensity. A previous earthquake in 2008 killed at least 90,000 people when a magnitude 7.9 earthquake shook the region of Sichuan.
