Casey Affleck debuted his 22-year-old son Indiana on the Venice Film Festival red carpet on September 8, 2026, alongside brother Ben Affleck. The family gathering for the gothic thriller Company came as the brothers mourn the recent deaths of both of their parents.
A Rare Family Red Carpet Debut in Venice
The red carpet outside the Sala Grande on the Lido saw a notable Affleck family reunion on September 8, 2026. Casey Affleck brought his eldest son, 22-year-old Indiana, for his red carpet debut during the screening of the gothic thriller Company. They were joined by Casey’s older brother Ben Affleck, marking the first time the siblings walked a red carpet together since the 2017 Academy Awards.
Indiana stood out on the carpet, nearly matching the 6-foot-4 height of his uncle Ben. He wore a black double-breasted suit detailed with white lace trim along the lapels, cuffs, and trouser sides, paired with white tennis shoes and a middle-parted hairstyle. Ben kept to a traditional black suit and white collared shirt, while Casey opted for an all-black monochromatic look featuring a slim-cut suit, black button-down, and patent leather dress shoes. Behind the Scenes of Company
The family appearance celebrated Company, Casey Affleck’s third feature-length film as a writer-director, which he co-wrote, directed and stars in. The gothic thriller stars Nick Nolte, Ben Mendelsohn, Adelaide Clemens, Scoot McNairy, Emily Alyn Lind, Caylee Cowan, and Casey’s sons, Indiana and Atticus. Ben jetted in to Italy for Casey’s third film Company, which he co-produced through Artists Equity. Both of Casey’s sons—Indiana, 22, and younger son Atticus, 18, whom Casey shares with ex-wife Summer Phoenix—have roles in the movie, though Atticus didn’t make a cameo on the red carpet.

Honoring Parents Amid Recent Loss
During the festival press conference, Casey revealed that he and Ben lost their father Timothy Affleck earlier this year, just months after the death of their mom, Chris Anne. It was previously revealed in July that their mother Christine Affleck died on June 2 following a battle with pancreatic cancer, while it’s unclear when Timothy died. Following its screening, the film drew a four-minute standing ovation, Variety reports. While promoting his movie Company at the festival, Casey said: It’s dedicated to my parents because I lost both my mom and my dad this year, and they were very important to me.
Casey continued: I really wanted to show this movie to them, and I didn’t get to. I think they would have liked it.

In addition to their movie star sons, Timothy and ex-wife Christine are survived by five grandchildren: Indiana, 22, Violet, 20, Atticus, 18, Fin, 17, and Sam, 14. Christine’s grandkids were described as the animating force of her last two decades
in her Legacy obituary.
Next Generation Steps Into the Spotlight
Indiana showed off his eclectic sense of style in a black double-breasted suit trimmed with white lace on the wrists, lapels, and hemline. The same white lace trim ran down the sides of his black slacks like racing stripes, giving a sporty twist, or white Western-style embroidery around the lapels depending on the angle, complemented by a ribbon necktie or black criss-cross tie, a white dress shirt, and sleek sneakers, finishing off the look with a combed-back style for his brunette locks. Ben, 54, and Casey, 51, kept it classic in traditional black suits, though the Gone Girl star opted for suede dress shoes while the Manchester by the Sea actor contrasted his brother by sporting a glossy black patent leather variety. Casey’s partner Caylee Cowan was also present at the Venice Film Festival.
