‘This is my rest … Husband and children do not get along with it’: Sheeba | Dr Sheeba Manoj travel story

by time news

Our women are now tired of going the way of someone else and deciding that ‘travel alone is enough’. It is a myth that when the mind is distracted, when the roles at home and at work are completely exhausted, when the grief comes and wraps up, the sad days end with tears.

When he felt the need to change, he hung up his bag and went downstairs. Holding hands with no one else is a wonderful way to screw people over.

I’m a gold digger ….

In some places we seem to spend more time. Those with you may not feel that way. So I always travel alone. It is the rest I take for myself in the midst of a busy life. Husband Manoj and children Abhishek and Anugraha do not join it. Standing on Orma’s first bench is more of an adventure than a thousand excursions.

Bungee jumping like a bird

Went to Nepal alone. Kusuma, Nepal is the second tallest bungee jumping site in the world. The river is like a deep ravine below two gorges. A bridge connects the two mountains. We have to do bungee jumping from the middle of that bridge. Proper training before jumping will give you confidence.

It will take us to a place that looks like planks laid out in the sky. When all the first excitement is there, the carnage will subside. When trainers say, ‘Go a little farther,’ fear builds up in your mind.

By the time we are looking for courage, we are already done. With both legs locked, the head falls deeper. At that time our hearts will pound with fear. Then, slowly begin to enjoy. The weight of the body is never known.

Flying like a feather. The sights seen then will not be erased from the mind. Once they have released the lock on our feet we can lift our heads. By then we will start liking that bird flying. They will entertain us by lowering and raising two or three times. The only moment I was in the air. I felt sad when I climbed back up.

Though his home is in Kannur, he lives in Bangalore for work. There is a trip every month since Corona started. Working from home has the potential for that. The experience is that when you travel and come back, you can do things with 100% energy at work or at home. Any crises along the way will be handled alone. It has also helped boost confidence.

I do not travel to escape from life. But all my travels are to keep life from escaping me.
