Dallas ∙ Former Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber, 38, was found dead in her Dallas Frisco apartment. The Cowboys team confirmed Barber’s death on Wednesday, June 1st. Another NFL player died in a car accident in Dallas two days ago.
Police arrived at 2.30pm on Wednesday following a telephone call from Barber’s apartment in Stratton Drive, which was leased (rented) by Barber. Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death is not clear.

Barber, who played for the Dallas Cowboys from 2005 to 2011, spent the next six seasons in North Texas. He was known as Marion the Barbarian. Barber also played for the Chicago Bears. He is currently retired from the NFL (NFL National Football League) and is based in North Texas.
Born in 1983 in Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Minnesota. Dominic Barber is the brother of an NFL player.
