It has been announced that all government offices, including the Department of Labor, will be open only from Monday to Thursday.
Labor Commissioner Prabhat Chandrakeerthi has announced that it will be closed every Friday from the first week of June.
These measures have been taken in line with the Public Administration Circular issued to reduce government expenditure and limit the recruitment of employees of public sector undertakings in the current resource shortage.
The Director General has therefore asked people to refrain from seeking government offices on Friday.
