Milestone and Mattel have announced that the F1 Car Collection Pack will arrive in March 2027 for Hot Wheels Infinite Rush. The downloadable content pack will feature all 22 official Formula 1 team cars from the 2026 season, joining the game’s Speeder vehicle category across its open-world islands.
Formula 1 machinery is entering the toy-scale racing arena for the first time. Milestone and Mattel jointly announced that the upcoming downloadable content will bring every team from the real-world grid into the arcade racer, offering players a novel way to pilot their favorite drivers’ vehicles.
What the F1 Car Collection Pack Brings to Infinite Rush
Set for release in March 2027, the expansion introduces all 22 official Formula 1 team cars to the game. Each vehicle is faithfully recreated from its physical Hot Wheels die-cast counterpart. Upon arrival, the F1 models integrate directly into the Speeder category—the fastest class available in the game’s roster—augmenting a vehicle selection that already exceeds 150 distinct models at launch.
The partnership between Formula 1 and Mattel officially began in 2024, yielding physical die-cast toys that earned recognition at the 2026 Licensing Awards for Best Licensed Toys or Games Range. Bringing those same liveries into a video game environment marks the largest gaming activation between the two brands to date.
“Our partnership with Mattel and Hot Wheels keeps evolving for our fans, and this latest move gives them the opportunity to race their favourite driver’s car in the Hot Wheels Infinite Rush video game.”

Prazer noted that players can compete against friends and family in a whole new format
that captures the high speeds and drama of the sport.
Navigating the Open-World Islands of Infinite Rush
Developed by Italian studio Milestone, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush broke away from traditional track layouts by establishing an open-world structure divided across four distinct, freely explorable islands connected through a teleportation system called the Launcher.

- Wheelswood: A modern urban metropolis featuring long straightaways, towering skyscrapers, and narrow side streets.
- Tentacle Bay: A nature-dominated setting featuring sandy beaches, green parks, rocky areas, and an archaeological park.
- Gearville: A harsh desert environment packed with deep canyons, heavy machinery, industrial excavation sites, and massive factories.
- Drifty Temples: An East Asian-inspired twilight region featuring neon streets, blooming cherry trees, canals, and ancient temples watched over by a giant dragon.
Players traverse these regions while tackling multiple game modes.
Studio Perspectives and Platform Availability
The integration of the 2026 F1 grid requires balancing authentic motorsport design within an arcade sandbox. Milestone’s publishing director emphasized the significance of the cross-licensing effort.

“We’re incredibly proud to be the first to bring Formula 1 Hot Wheels die-cast cars to a video game. The opportunity to work alongside such prestigious partners as Mattel and Formula 1 is a great testament to the trust they place in Milestone and in our ability to deliver high-quality racing experiences.”

Mattel echoed that sentiment. Erika Winterholler, head of licensed games at Mattel, stated that the combination of Formula 1’s authenticity and Milestone’s racing expertise created a unique opportunity to deliver something truly special for Hot Wheels fans.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is available now across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, ROG Xbox Ally, ROG Xbox Ally X, and PC via Steam, the Microsoft Store, and the Epic Games Store. The F1 Car Collection Pack launches as downloadable content in March 2027, with owners of different editions or the base game expected to have access to this upcoming pack for an additional fee.
