Taking to X, the actor shared a message with fans who followed the production through its various iterations:
Vincent D’Onofrio, actor, stated that they had greatly enjoyed bringing @Daredevil Born Again to everyone, noting that the fans had stuck with them just as he liked to think they had stuck with the audience, and announced that the final third season was heading their way next year featuring some very cool content, while sending much love to all who had been supportive, expressing his enduring love for the character of Fisk, mentioning that he was heading off to another neck of the woods, and reiterating that season 3 was on the way.
D’Onofrio also attached a shot of Kingpin in his white suit, walking away down a trail of blood, illustrating how his vision for building a better city
is fueled by violence and built on the bodies of those he crushed along the way. In his closing remarks, he signaled he is on to his next project as he moves off to another neck of the woods.
Behind-the-Scenes Departures and Production Timeline
While the third season of Daredevil: Born Again wrapped filming several months ago and sits in post-production, it reaches the finish line without its showrunner. Dario Scardapane, who took over the show during its creative overhaul, has quietly parted ways with the studio after his Marvel contract expired and was not renewed. It is odd for the showrunner to exit the series while it is still in post-production, and it is not clear who will see it over the finish line.

The third season will pick up from a major change in Matt Murdock’s life. The Season 2 finale ended with Matt publicly revealing that he is Daredevil during Fisk’s trial. He was then arrested and taken to Rikers Island, setting up a new situation for the hero in the forthcoming season and almost confirming that the upcoming episodes will highlight the impact on Murdock’s public identity following his arrest.
Screenrant stated that the plot of the approaching season will be a time jump from the previous, in which viewers will see the return of some familiar faces such as the Defenders, comprising Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter; Luke Cage, played by Mike Colter; and Danny Rand, played by Finn Jones, defending the citizens of Hell’s Kitchen while Matt Murdock is incarcerated.

Viewers can expect the final and third season to debut on Disney+ in March 2027, with the final season currently expected to premiere in 2027, although Disney+ has not announced a specific release date.
