Reliance Brands to acquire 40 percent stake in Italian toy maker Plastic Legno SPAs India business,

Reliance Brands Ltd, Reliance’s branding arm, has acquired a 40 per cent stake in Italy’s leading toy maker Plastic Legno SPA.

According to Reliance, the deal is aimed at innovating the toy manufacturing and toy market in India.

The Reliance brand has already entered into an agreement with the UK toy retailer Homelace. Reliance Brands has been in operation since 2007. Similarly, Plastic Lucknow has been in the European market for over 25 years. The company started its business in India in 2009. As the market is growing well in India, the Italian company plans to build a strong manufacturing hub here. That is why Reliance has entered into this agreement with the company.

A spokesperson for Reliance Brands said, “Reliance Brands is partnering with the Italian plastic leno in Italy to make the Prime Minister’s dream of an independent India a reality.” The toys produced in this new alliance will make their mark not only in the Indian market but also in the global market. Reliance Brands is already the leading toy dealer in the country in partnership with Britain’s Homelace. Homeless said it has more than 200 stores in about 15 countries.
