Tension rises stage? China is thus helping North Korea evade sanctions

by time news

The Canadian military today (Thursday) accused China of helping North Korea evade international sanctions. This, after Canadian surveillance planes, which help enforce UN sanctions on the Asian dictatorship, claimed that for several times Chinese fighter jets disrupted the Canadian mission and flew so close that the latter had to change course to avoid a collision.

Canada claims these incidents occurred in international airspace during its recent tour, during which Canada searched for North Korean fuel and cargo ships, after it was suspected that the latter was violating the maritime sanctions imposed on it.

Also, the tense incidents between China and Canada were not the first time they occurred, having occurred several more times over the years. Also, in 2019, two Chinese fighter jets dangerously approached Canadian warships in the East China Sea, with fighter jets reaching a range of 300 meters from the bow of the ships.
