U.S. President Joe Biden delivered a special speech tonight (Friday) on tackling gun violence in the country and unveiled his plan to eradicate it, after a series of shooting incidents that led to the killing of innocent civilians and led to renewed calls for action on gun safety in the United States.

In his opening remarks, the American president said: “Nothing is being done after a mass shooting. This time we must actually do something. How much more carnage are we willing to accept?”.

He added: “Too many everyday places in America have become deadly fields. It is time for the Senate to do something. He said action should be taken to raise the age of carrying weapons:” We must ban high-capacity assault weapons and raise the age for buying guns to 21. ”

“We need to have safe storage laws and personal responsibility for not locking a gun,” the president added, adding, “We need to strengthen background checks and red flag laws.”
