Riyadh: The Jeddah Municipality has announced that it has started accepting applications online for compensation for demolished buildings in various parts of Jeddah as part of slum clearance and urban development. Building owners must submit applications for compensation through the Jeddah Municipality website.

The emirate of the Mecca region had earlier announced that it would provide various housing services, including accommodation, at government expense to those who lost their homes after the buildings were demolished. The announcement said various housing units would be set up by the end of this year and would be handed over to families who have lost their homes.
