An ultra-Orthodox girl about 10 years old was seriously injured at noon (Friday) by a car on Derchei Ish Street in Beitar Illit.

The rescue forces who were called to the scene of the accident provided the girl with first aid and she was evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem when her condition, as stated, is severely defined.

Elkana Breuer, a paramedic from the Rescue Union, said: “With the help of other paramedics who were nearby, we provided her with initial assistance at the scene of the accident.”

Yossi Horowitz, another paramedic from the Rescue Union, said: “After the initial assistance we provided her, she was evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem, at which point her condition is defined as serious.”

The police said that “a report was received at the police station about an accident between a vehicle and a pedestrian in the city of Beitar Illit. A 10-year-old wounded woman in a serious condition was evacuated (according to medical sources). Police forces at the scene are directing the movement. An investigation has been opened accordingly. “
