The Court of Palma has drastically reduced the pension for food and studies that the footballer from Cameroon, Samuel Eto’o, has been paying in recent years to his son born in Mallorca. The court limits such pension to 600 euros per monthan amount very far from the more than 3,000 euros that he has been paying to support his son Etiennewho is already of legal age.
The former soccer player Real Mallorca and FC Barcelona, among other teams, reacted immediately and went to court upon learning that his son, who is now 20 years old, there was signed for the club Royal Oviedo. This signing demonstrated, in Eto’o’s opinion, that his son had achieved economic independence, in addition to being of legal age, for which he considered that he should stop paying the pension that, on the other hand, Etienne’s mother had been managing it.
The mother, in defense of her son, logically refused to reduce the amount of the pension, remembering that the father was an elite footballerthat the soldier in big teams had achieved a significant economic fortune and that his son still had not achieved economic independence, despite the fact that he had signed for a Second Division soccer team.
