The Center has directed five states, including Kerala, to be vigilant in the spread of Kovid. In a letter to Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, he said that inspections should be increased, inspections at airports should be continued, monitoring in cluster prone areas should be strengthened and protocol prescribed by the Center should be continued.
Apart from Kerala, the Center has directed Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana and Maharashtra. Kovid confirmed 4,041 people in the country within 24 hours. 10 deaths were also reported. Kovid also confirmed to Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi
