Sean Weissman, Mons Dabour, Omar Damari and now also Thai Baribo. The 24-year-old striker, who arrived last summer from Maccabi Petah Tikva to Wolfsberger, has joined a respectable list of Israeli attacking players who have recorded success in the Austrian league, after finishing the season with 11 league goals.
Following Baribo’s respectable balance sheet in his European debut season, one of the local media placed him on the club’s outstanding list this season. “The 24-year-old striker may not have provided Sean Weissman’s output, but he certainly offered a handsome return in relation to the amount paid for him,” the selection explained.
“In the second half of the season, Ribo experienced a decline but still managed to make his debut for the Israeli national team thanks to his appearances at Wolfsberger,” the Austrian media added about the striker who received his first minutes in blue and white in a game against Iceland.
