An Iranian missile scientist has died from food poisoning

The Persian-language media reported today (Saturday) that on Tuesday this week Dr. Ayub Antzari, an expert in aerospace engineering at the Sheriff’s University in Tehran, died. Due to food poisoning, so far his death has not been reported in official Iranian media.

Meanwhile, Iran denies reports that a cyber attack hit the passport control system at Imam Khomeini airport in Tehran last night. Media outlets affiliated with the opposition in Iran reported tonight that the system had been hacked for several hours.

According to these reports, the break-in caused disruptions to takeoffs and many passengers could not enter the country or missed connecting flights. A port spokesman said it was a hardware malfunction in the server that caused the disruptions, and it was fixed within a few hours.

Earlier this week, another Quds Force commander died under unclear circumstances. The Iranian officer, Ali Ismailazada, died last Monday after falling from the roof of his house in Jahan Nama in the Karaj area. This was reported by sources to the opposition media “Iran International”.
