A Navy-owned ‘F-A-18E Super Hornet’ fighter jet took off from Lemur Naval Air Station in Bursno, California, USA for routine patrols. There was only one pilot on the plane.

The plane was flying over the Mojave Desert in San Bernardino when it crashed unexpectedly to the ground. The pilot was killed on the spot in the crash.

Reports from there say that the US Navy has ordered a detailed investigation into the cause of the accident, which was not immediately known.
