Beer prices rise in London Full info

by time news

The price of beer in London is at an all-time high.

According to the Financial Times, a pint of beer currently costs £ 8 (approximately Rs. 3,608 in Sri Lankan currency). The price of beer in Britain has risen by 70% since 2008.

This information has been published citing the research of CGA, the industry watchdog. This means that the average price of a pint of beer in the UK has increased from £ 2.30 in 2008 to £ 3.95 this year.

It has been suggested that pubs may have to raise prices further as the price of beer-producing barley has risen due to tensions created by the war in Ukraine.

Beer sales have fallen by 0.7 per cent in the past year, while their value has increased by 2.4 per cent. This, in turn, shows that consumers are consuming slightly less beer.

Accordingly the concern among the consumers about health has increased the sales of non-alcoholic beverages and low-alcohol beverages.

In the last six months, it has been revealed that more than five million individuals have consumed non-alcoholic beer or low-alcohol beer.
