by time news

Fire and rescue teams from the Dimona, Arad, Hura stations and with the assistance of the Kuseife volunteer unit were launched recently (Sunday) to burn down the “Textile Industries” warehouse in Arad.

Firefighters who arrived at the scene identified that it was a large fire in a warehouse of about 500 m with the danger of spreading to nearby buildings and immediately began firefighting and prevention of spread.

Crews were divided into sections with fire hydrants assisting in one section and crews in different sections to gain control of the fire.

The fire and rescue services note that the warehouse contains plastic and mixed materials and as a result, thick black smoke envelops Arad’s IDF.

Deputy Commander Gershon Kalimi, commander of the Dimona station who was at the scene, said: “This is a fire of mixed and highly flammable materials that create thick smoke, with the main effort being to prevent the fire from spreading and at the same time scan inside the warehouse and compound to rule out trapped people. And later we will know how to draw conclusions. “

Firefighters are still working to put out the fire, which is in several areas of the plant.

It should be noted that the burning warehouse near the factory burned down completely on all its contents (plastic, solids and various mixed materials). Firefighters carry out a number of firefighting operations inside the plant to prevent the spread of the hotspots and damage to property.

Deputy commander Gershon Kalimi, commander of the Dimona station, said: “I am glad there are no casualties in the incident, thanks to the combination of rapid fire fighters in parallel with the fire detection systems, including water sprinklers and smoke detectors.

The fire has not yet been brought under control.
