Riyadh: Deals with customers in Lulu hypermarkets are becoming classless. Lulu’s branches across Saudi Arabia have launched an electronic receipt system as part of a move to reduce the use of paper for a green shopping experience. The e-receipt system will replace paper receipts.

Shopping will receive bills instantly via SMS. It is more convenient and safer to store and pay digitally on a mobile phone without printing on paper. The plan is to implement the digital receipt system in all Lulu hypermarkets across Saudi Arabia and gradually reduce the use of paper. It also aims to promote contactless payment methods.

This will make it easier for customers to inquire about benefits and rewards for the delivery of purchased items. “We are pleased to launch an extensive e-receipt payment system at outlets across Saudi Arabia, and as part of the country’s leading retail group, it’s part of Lulu’s Sustainable Environment initiative, which is part of its commitment to enhance our customers’ shopping experience and develop sustainable and green eco – friendly practices that help protect the earth,” he said.

He added that the new system is part of Lulu’s efforts to continuously improve the customer experience of our customers and to support the sustainability and environment of the human habitat.
