Legislative: Joachim Son-Forget, the ex-LREM who became a supporter of Zemmour, dismissed in the first round

by time news

He will not regain his seat in the National Assembly. This Sunday, the outgoing deputy for the 6th constituency of French people living abroad (Switzerland and Liechtenstein) Joachim Son-Forget, ex-LREM, won only 4.5% of the vote. He thus arrives in 7th position.

Joachim Son-Forget was running as an independent, after supporting Éric Zemmour in the presidential election. He had left LREM in 2018.

Recently, the outgoing deputy of the French of Switzerland and Liechtenstein went to Ukraine without detailing the reasons for his trip. “I was located on the basis of a photo (which he himself published), I will not say more so as not to compromise my safety”, he confided to the Parisian on March 8.

The candidate invested by the presidential majority in the lead

In February 2020, Joachim Son-Forget had shared the link to the article, then confidential, at the origin of the Benjamin Griveaux scandal where sexual videos of the then LREM candidate for mayor of Paris had been published. “I hope that these distressing sexual videos incriminating Benjamin Griveaux and a young woman will be denied by the person concerned and his team because such defamation would be extremely serious in the campaign for Paris” he had tweeted.

It is the candidate invested by the presidential majority Marc Ferracci who comes first with 36% of the vote. This support for Emmanuel Macron was the favorite in his constituency. The head of state had indeed collected 44% of the votes in the first round of the presidential election in Switzerland in the first round. A percentage that rises to 81% for the second.

In second position, Magalin Mangin, candidate invested by the New Popular Ecological and Social Union (Nupes), obtained 20% of the votes. She is followed by the ecologist Roxanne Corbran, who presented herself without the Nupes label. She won 8.8% of the vote. The second round of legislative elections in Switzerland will take place on June 19.
