Delhi: Umran Malik has been lauded by many as a fast bowler in the IPL 2022. Umran’s pace caught everyone’s attention. Former Australia fast bowler Brett Lee has said that Umran bears a striking resemblance to legendary Pakistan pacer Waqar Younis. But Umran says his role models are some other players, not Waqar Younis.

Umran Malik has been named in the Indian squad for the five-match T20 series against South Africa. In the IPL, Umran took 22 wickets in 9 games at 9.03 economy for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The five-match T20 series against South Africa starts on June 9. The venues are Delhi, Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, Rajkot and Bangalore. Team India will be led by KL Rahul.
