After the success of “Evil Castle 2” and “Evil Castle 3”, Capcom is ready to bring an even more popular game “Evil Castle 4: Remastered”. Characters are one of the main reasons for the success of “Evil Castle 4”, however, unfortunately, Leon’s previous voice actor will not be returning.
Since the trailer was released, players have been praising the remake’s vastly improved character models. Not surprisingly, many Ashely fans also said the remake looks better. But if you’re a fan of Leon’s character, then you might be a little disappointed with the remake.
The voice of Leon, the protagonist of the original game of “Evil Castle 4”, is Paul Mercier. Leon’s voice in Castle of Evil 6 is Matthew Mercer. As soon as “Evil Castle 4: Remastered” was announced, fans thought that Matthew would also return, but this is not the case.
Matthew tweeted to confirm that he did not voice Leon, while wishing the project’s voice actors.
It’s hard to say what plans Capcom has at the moment, and there may be two options. The first is to go back to Paul Mercier, the voice of the original game, or to have Nick Apostolides play Leon.
