From a birthday present to an Ironman “finisher”: the crazy challenge of a group of sexagenarians in Annecy

It is 4:30 a.m. when Jean-Pierre, Florent and Stéphane accompanied by the 247 other participants board the Libellule. This cruise ship takes them to the center of Lake Annecy. While it is still dark, they jump out of the boat to start the first test. “When we’re on the boat, I look left and right, I only see young people, with Apollonian bodies, they look serene. At that point, I really wondered what I was doing there,” confides Jean-Pierre.
